Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) released the following statement today in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th.

"Today we pause to remember all the servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation, and show our gratitude to those who protect us today.

"When our soldiers, airmen, marines, and sailors swear to protect our country, their country also swears to protect them. We must renew that oath to our fighting men and women. Let's promise to have our veterans' backs today and every day. My heartfelt gratitude to those who serve and to their families."
