Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) issued the following statement today after the Supreme Court of the United States ruled against costly, job-killing regulation by President Obama's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA):
"The Supreme Court today issued a major rebuke of the Obama Administration's harmful agenda of costly, radical regulations that kill American jobs, hurt our economy, and raise prices for hard-working families," Scalise said. "The House has consistently acted to protect families from the EPA's lawless overreach--including last week when we passed the Ratepayer Protection Act. Today's ruling vindicates the House's actions, and should serve as a wakeup call to President Obama's radical EPA that it's time for them drop their job-killing, price-hiking agenda--including their disastrous global warming proposal--that would impose unnecessary economic hardship on hard-working families and businesses across America."
