Issue Position

In Our Communities, Senator Tokuda is Committed to:

*Increasing the number of affordable housing units available for our residents, from young families to kupuna, and continuing to support efforts that work like the Hula Mae Homebuyer Loan Program.
*Supporting increased funding for Kupuna Care and continuing to push for programs that provide seniors and caregivers with such things are respite care and chore service, allowing them to age with dignity at home, while also focusing on implementing solutions that address our long term care needs.
*Continuing her efforts to create more walkable and safe communities, and to increase access to federal Safe Routes to School Funds to alleviate traffic issues surrounding our schools and in our neighborhoods.
