Lujan Grisham Statement on 20-Week Abortion Ban

Today, Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham released the following statement after House Republicans passed an abortion ban with no exception for the health of the woman:

"Instead of passing legislation to create jobs and grow the economy, Congress has voted once again to restrict women's right to comprehensive health care. House Republicans voted to ban abortion, without providing an exception for the health of the mother. Women have the constitutional right to choose and the public overwhelmingly supports the protection of women's healthcare options. Medical decisions should be made by a patient and a doctor, not by Republicans in Congress."
