Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after supporting a series of bills to hold the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) accountable:
"The constant scandals burning at the IRS have created a cloud of mistrust and fear. From targeting taxpayers for their political beliefs to rehiring hundreds of untrustworthy ex-employees, it's clear the IRS doesn't have the best interest of hardworking taxpayers in mind. I'm proud to support legislation to help restore accountability, protect taxpayer rights and tip the balance of power back to the people and away from Washington's bureaucrats."
