Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) issued the following statement on House passage of H.R. 351, the LNG Permitting Certainty and Transparency Act.

"I am pleased to support this bipartisan solution that will bring more certainty to the Department of Energy's export approval process and help eliminate bureaucratic red tape that has delayed construction of LNG export projects," Blackburn said. "This is another important step we are taking in our effort to strengthen America's energy infrastructure. By acting to expand LNG exports we can create jobs and grow our economy here at home, while also increasing energy security for our allies abroad."
