Statement

The second week of the new Congress was just like the first--working to address America's problems. We focused on promoting policies that put more people back to work, ease the federal regulatory burden, and provide relief from the President's health care law. We also voted to restore the proper constitutional balance and block President Obama's unilateral actions on immigration.

Weekly Update:

Introduced bipartisan legislation, the Medal of Honor Priority Care Act, to ensure living Medal of Honor recipients receive timely access to their health benefits
Supported bipartisan legislation to roll back excessive federal regulations that stifle economic growth, hurt job creation, and make America less competitive

Stood up to President Obama's executive overreach by voting to block his unconstitutional actions on immigration--actions the President himself said he lacked the authority to implement

Spoke on the House floor to urge President Obama to put down his veto pen and work with us on bipartisan solutions like the Keystone XL Pipeline
