U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) released the following statement regarding today's announcement that FairPoint Communications has reached a tentative agreement with its employees to end a four-month strike.

"I'm encouraged by today's announcement that a tentative agreement has been reached between FairPoint and its employees. New Hampshire residents, businesses, and public safety departments rely on the communications services provided by FairPoint, and I am hopeful that normal operations will resume as soon as possible."
