Shaheen Statement on Energy Efficiency Amendment Clearing Senate with Bipartisan Support

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement after a targeted energy efficiency amendment that she introduced with Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) passed the Senate 94-5:

"Even though this amendment is attached to a bill that the President has vowed to veto, its passage demonstrates the broad, bipartisan support energy efficiency enjoys in the Senate. I hope we can soon schedule a stand-alone vote on the larger Shaheen-Portman Energy Efficiency bill that the President has committed to sign."
