Issue Position

Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land continue to fight for the full restoration of the homestead rebate and the property tax reimbursement (Senior freeze). They have also fought to strengthen the State's Do Not Call list and to limit the ability of telemarketers to prey upon our State's citizens, particularly our seniors. Jeff, who was the sponsor of the original Do Not Call list in New Jersey, and Bob have introduced legislation that would require all telemarketers to properly identify themselves on caller-ID systems. They are also pushing for legislation that would establish a Telemarketing Fraud Prevention unit within the Department of Consumer Affairs in the State's Attorney General's office. This unit would be tasked with the sole responsibility of enforcing the State's Do Not Call list, ensuring that those telemarketers violating the law are punished.
