Issue Position

We cannot get the budget of this nation back on track by only cutting from our defense budget. I believe in a strong military. As a Colonel in the Mississippi National Guard who has done two tours in Iraq, I will always support a strong national defense. I will fight to make sure that our men and women in uniform are equipped to deal with current threats. I also believe that a strong defense starts with taking care of those men and women who have and are currently defending our country as a member of the armed forces.

Israel

Israel is our strongest and most trusted ally in a hostile region of the world. Israel is our friend, and I support Israel.

ISIS

ISIS is a real threat that is not going away. We must destroy ISIS, and we need to rely on the recommendations from our military leaders to achieve that mission.

Iran

I am greatly concerned about the threat presented by a nuclear-armed Iran to America and Israel. We must do everything that we can to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons capabilities.
