Obamacare is destroying private healthcare as we know it, and Texans must lead the nation in resisting this flawed policy. Lois has been vocal about how Texas must block a so-called "Medicaid Expansion" which could put Texas on the hook for billions in new spending. Just as she's been doing for years, Lois will fight the Obamacare program at every turn, especially the insulting idea of someone paying for healthcare services that violate their values or religious beliefs. As Chair of the House Public Health Committee, she led the fight to stop Obamacare. Lois has been on the front line against the plan for Texas to blindly expand Medicaid, a pet project of President Obama that will expand entitlements and leave future generations to pay the bill. Following our lead in Texas, two dozen other states have stood with our state and refused to implement the federal expansion. To fire back at the Obamacare attack, Lois passed landmark legislation to stop Obamacare and turn healthcare decisions back over to each state with an interstate compact. Nearly a dozen other conservative states have joined her call to cancel Obamacare and hand control back over to the states. Lois has saved Texas taxpayers millions by leading the fight against Medicaid fraud. Her record and results come from writing the real reforms to go after the waste, fraud and abuse in the government's Medicaid system.
