Mrs. BEATTY. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to say congratulations to the
Ohio State Buckeyes for their victory last night for the first College
Football Playoff National Championship game.
Mr. Speaker, I have the proud honor of representing the Third
Congressional District of Ohio, home of the victorious Buckeyes
football team.
Mr. Speaker, last night, I joined my Ohio congressional delegation
and others to cheer for the Buckeyes. Mr. Speaker, football is
definitely a bipartisan activity.
The most valuable player, Ezekiel Elliott, broke national
championship records for rushing yards and rushing touchdowns; and to
our winning quarterback, Cardale Jones--who made the victory possible
last night--to all the players, fans, the band, coaches, and athletic
directors, I say, ``Congratulations.''
Go, Bucks.
