Cramer Endorsed by Leading Right to Life Groups

Press Release

Date: Oct. 15, 2014
Issues: Abortion

Congressman Kevin Cramer was endorsed for re-election to a second term in the U.S. House of Representatives by the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) and North Dakota Right to Life (NDRL).

In their letters, each group cited Kevin's consistent support for the protection of life, especially society's most vulnerable persons.

In its letter, the NRLC credited Kevin for voting to prevent abortions after the 20-week mark when an unborn child can feel pain, to eliminate government funding for abortion and insurance plans that cover abortion, and for promoting legislation that would end requirements in ObamaCare for covering on-demand abortions. Kevin achieved a perfect score on the group's ranking of votes that protect the rights of the unborn.

NDRL echoed support for Kevin on the protection of unborn children, saying "On behalf of all persons; especially the unborn, disabled, and elderly, we thank [Congressman Cramer] for standing for life and look forward to working with [Kevin]…"

Kevin welcomed the endorsements, stating, "Protection of the unborn is one of the most important legislative priorities before our state and nation. I welcome the support from these two leading groups. The National Right to Life Committee is a strong partner and I look forward to working with them on legislation that advances protection for our most vulnerable."

Regarding the endorsement by NDRL, Kevin continued, "NDRL is the longest-standing organization in North Dakota that fights to protect every human at each stage of life. I appreciate support from the group and its members and I will remain their steadfast advocate in Washington."

With their endorsement, these two groups join a number of social, economic, and bi-partisan organizations endorsing Kevin for his work to advance the top priorities for North Dakota and the country.
