Jack Reed recognizes that we need to make smart investments in order to keep America competitive. Rehabilitating our crumbling roads and infrastructure is crucial to building our 21st century economy, and Reed has led the fight to fund critical upgrades at Quonset and make vital improvements at T.F. Green Airport.

He also knows that we need to invest in our young people so that they have the skills to enhance our workforce and help America compete on a global scale. Reed has pushed for effective teaching and school leadership, worked to strengthen family engagement in education, and championed libraries and proven literacy programs. Likewise, he believes that higher education should be affordable and accessible for all individuals with the drive and talent to attend college, and has led the fight to maintain low interest rates on loans for students and families and bring down costs.
