Issue Position

To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, "if you know how to spend less than you get, you can change lead into silver." How true. But not in today's Washington, D.C.

Not only our children but our grandchildren will inherit the debt we are brazenly building up, stubbornly insisting on foolish and debunked economic theories. Until Congress and the White House abandon failed strategies, intimidating tactics and reckless ideals, we will remain hostage to their irresponsibility.

Isn't it time we elect representatives that are ready to bite the bullet and do what needs to be done? No one's suggesting austerity -- simply common sense.
