We must find a way to help seniors and young families be able to afford their property taxes and stay in their homes.
Property taxes are the most burdensome taxes families face in our state. One can chose not to purchase a soda that is taxed but one cannot chose to forgo paying their property taxes and remain in their home.
Approximately 75% of a towns' property tax is dedicated to the school budget. We must fix the school budget formula so that schools are adequately funded and local property taxpayers can afford their taxes.
