Let us be Prepared!!

I will utilize my extensive direct response and training as a Navy officer.

As a Navy Civil Engineer Corps officer I responding to several disasters and received extensive disaster related training. This included the following:

In 1995, I was assigned as the Officer In Charge of a Naval Construction Force disaster recovery detachment that was dispatched to Great Barrington, Massachusetts to assist with debris removal and establishment of fire breaks in the wake of a devastating tornado.

I was mobilized for a period of six months in August 1998 to serve as the Chief Engineer of the United States Support Group in Haiti. During this period two hurricanes hit the island and was responsible for the preparation of plans to secure personnel and facilities and recovery activities.
From 2000 to 2002 he was Commanding Officer of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Twenty Seven.

I was given orders in response to the Katrina disaster and assigned as the 22NCR-Forward (FWD) as the senior Civil Engineer Corps officer in the greater New Orleans area. I spent the month of September in the greater New Orleans area, and the month of October at 1Naval Construction Division in NAB Little Creek working on Katrina related issues and other mobilization tasks.

In November 2005 I was assigned as the New Hampshire Navy Preparedness Liaison Officer (NEPLO) and served in that capacity until August 2008. During this period I worked directly with the New Hampshire National Guard the State of New Hampshire Emergency program.

I would use my background in civil engineering and construction to work on analyzing and improving our infrastructure.
