Prior to becoming a Richland Township Supervisor, he was unanimously appointed Preservation Board Chair by Richland's Board of Supervisors to revitalize Richland's Open Space Efforts. To date over 1,400 acres are now preserved under his plan.

"I will work with local municipal, county, and state officials to continue preserving the unique landscape of Bucks County and Pennsylvania," stated Craig Staats.
