Both the United States and Ohio Constitution expressly grant citizens the right to bear arms. This right is not limited based on the amount of rounds one can fit in a magazine or the amount of shots one can shoot in a second. To infringe upon this right by limiting the types of firearms one may own or placing overly burdensome restrictions on the purchase of firearms is oppressive. Therefore, any law-abiding citizen should be able to own any handgun, shotgun, rifle, or any firearm that is necessary or suitable for self-defense or recreation.
