Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) held President Obama accountable for overstepping his executive authority by continuously changing Obamacare without Congressional approval, specifically in regards to the delay of Obamacare's employer mandate. There have been dozens of unilateral delays or changes to Obamacare.
Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:
"A system of checks and balances was put in place by our founding fathers for a reason. Past presidents respected that its Congress' job to make the laws and it's the President's job to execute them. But President Obama would rather bypass Congress and write his own laws and then change them as he sees fit. We must preserve the Constitution and ensure our government represents the American people, not the President alone."
