Issue Position

The overwhelming majority of Tybee's erosion is due to the very necessary maintenance of the shipping channel. As this is a federal responsibility, it follows that the renourishment of Tybee's beach is primarily a federal responsibility as well. Jesse will fight to ensure that Tybee Island residents do not bear an undue burden of renourishment costs. He will work to ensure maximum state and federal funding for the project.
