As a lifelong supporter of the 2nd Amendment guaranteeing free Americans the right to keep and bear arms, we must oppose gun legislation that penalizes law abiding gun owners and instead focus on improvements to our nation's mental health and criminal justice systems. Currently, with gun ownership at an all-time high, our nation's murder rate is at a nearly all-time low.
