As a legislator, Pat will work to change the pension system to the same type of retirement plan most of us have at our jobs: 401(k) plans that require contributions from the employee instead of big, taxpayer-paid plans that set them up for life after only 10 years of work. The current economic downturn and this system have created a more than billion dollar crisis for the taxpayers of Pennsylvania that Pat will have the courage to address to best protect current employees and taxpayers.
