Fiscal irresponsibility is a major burden to our society. It will only serve to limit our freedom and prosperity as it places us in debt. When we run into budget shortfalls unfortunately the quick fix is to raise taxes to which I am opposed. Montana has over 5 billion in unfunded liabilities and Montana is over 40% dependent on the Federal Government to supply its fiscal needs. I believe it is imperative that we work to keep Montana fiscally sound and less dependent on the federal government.
