In January 2014, the MBTA released a schedule for the Framingham/Worcester commuter rail line that would have reduced service to Wellesley stops during peak commuting hours. After hearing from numerous riders who would have been adversely affected by the proposed schedule, Representative Peisch and fellow area legislators succeeded in their efforts to delay the initial implementation of the changes and assisted in the development of a new schedule.
After numerous meetings and conversations, the MBTA then announced a new schedule for the Framingham/Worcester commuter rail line on February 26, 2014. The new schedule went into effect on Monday, March 10th and includes an additional train during peak evening hours that stops in Wellesley. Representative Peisch continues to push for a better morning schedule.
