Although my role as House Minority Leader requires me to focus on broad, statewide issues, the most important part of my job as a state representative is to advocate for the people I represent in the 20th Middlesex District.
As a North Reading native, I have very strong ties to my district and to the people who live there. Understanding their concerns and views is extremely important to me.
In addition to holding monthly office hours, I also host several events in my district throughout the year, including an annual Thanksgiving dinners for North Reading and Reading seniors and informational seminars on new legislation that affects Massachusetts residents.
Another responsibility I take very seriously is making sure that Reading, North Reading, Middleton and Lynnfield are not forgotten when the Legislature crafts the state budget every year, and I fight hard to secure financial support for important local projects and organizations.
