Protecting our Environment: Hydrolic fracturing, or fracking, represents a serious threat to our drinking water in North Carolina. In a rush to please their corporate donors, Republican's have begun giving the green light to fracking in NC. This includes the practice of forced pooling, where if land owners near you agree to frack, the State can force you to have your land fracked as well. This is a massive intrusion to the rights of property owners, not to mention the ecological disaster that fracking often is.
