Defending Women's Rights: Under Sen. Berger's rule, we've seen unprecedented restrictions placed on a woman's constitutional right to choose. We need to empower women and their doctors, in consultation with family and faith, making decisions about their health without Republican men getting in the way.

Women have made less than men for far too long in this country. I was a co-sponsor to an equal pay bill that would have helped reduce the wage gap, which, with so many female breadwinners, would have an enormously positive impact for NC families.
