Issue Position

I believe in a strong public education system in Alabama. Our district has experienced huge growth in the past 15 years because parents are seeking better options for their children's education. We attract a large number of military families stationed at Maxwell/Gunter Air Force Base due to our strong public schools. Companies seeking to locate in our area inquire early about educational opportunities for the children of their employees and to determine if the educated workforce they need will be available. I will work to retain our local strengths, increase opportunities, and keep the bureaucracy of Washington out of our schools.
