North Carolina is culturally rich and diverse. We're proud to welcome immigrants and transplants from all corners of the country and the globe to our state. This is a great place to raise a family, retire or earn a living.
But we are a nation of laws. Illegal immigration is wrong. The government owes it to you, the citizens, to protect our borders and enforce laws that prevent illegal immigration.
Not only does illegal immigration violate our legal foundation, it takes away jobs from Americans and legal residents. We must remove the incentives for illegal immigration -- such as in-state tuition at community colleges -- and restrict illegals from taking advantage of public services that North Carolinians pay for.
