Issue Position

The best investment that we can provide our children is a great education. This is something that I am extremely passionate about. As a small business owner I began the Language Lodge LLC when I noticed a gap in teaching youngsters languages. Additionally, I served as a member of the Board at Seton Catholic School, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and am a regular volunteer at Stow High School where I have loved every minute of helping teach a Government class. I take great pride in the fact that all of the public schools in our district were rated Excellent or Excellent with Distinction. As a member of the Education Committee in the Ohio House of Representatives, I serve as an advocate for all of our childrens' schools.

Recently, as a member of the Education Committee, I supported SB316, which institutes a 3rd grade reading guarantee for Ohio's children. No longer will students be passed to the next grade without the tools to succeed.
