Issue Position

Strengthening Public Safety:

· Initiate common sense reforms that focus on crime prevention and prisoner rehabilitation, which bring down costs, reduce recidivism rates and ultimately improve public safety.

·Develop initiatives that provide funding for youth violence prevention programs, by supporting school & community programs, which help prevent and address youth violence in our communities.

·Ensure that funding levels for our police and fire departments stay secure and advocate for the tools needed for crime prevention.
