Issue Position

As a Commissioner in Cheltenham, I Iearned that the role of a community leader can be more effective than many realize. Arcadia University, the School District of Cheltenham Township, the NAACP and Adath Jeshurun Congregation joined with me to start a community after school tutoring program for students in Cheltenham. And after a devastating fire, community members joined me to form a victim's relief organization. I saw the power of constituents organizing to make change in something they care about -- it's not something any official does alone.

As your State Senator I will provide community leadership to connect and support community initiatives. I have already begun discussions with Mt. Airy, West Oak Lane and Germantown residents on ways to support public schools
