Larry Stutts will deliver HEALTHCARE……

As a healthcare provider for the people of District 6 since 1992, Larry is focused on finding ways to make healthcare more affordable and efficient while maintaining the highest quality of care possible.

Many District 6 citizens are facing the real-life consequences of Obamacare. The new health law has made insurance policies unaffordable for many citizens. The higher premiums and reduced coverage are making it difficult to obtain quality healthcare. As a physician, Larry has personal experience with the vast problems facing patients from all walks of life. His common-sense approach to patient care has saved patients' money, allowing them to have more for their own budgets. He has been named a Medicaid preferred physician by the State of Alabama because of his personal cost-saving measures to Alabama's healthcare industry.

Government intervention in health care has increased its cost. By over-regulation, daily health decisions are often made to meet the imposed guidelines rather than to provide the best care. There seems to be less and less individualized care given because of the continued increase in government regulations.

Additionally, tort reform should be addressed to allow physicians and other healthcare providers to practice medicine rather than add costs to healthcare. Larry will work to ensure that free-market principles are applied to the health care system as with other systems within Alabama.

As major employers in our communities, hospitals should remain appropriately funded so they can continue to provide healthcare and jobs. Larry understands the importance of balance between affordable patient care and cost-saving measures necessary to remain in business. This delicate balance is better suited for less regulation from the government and more freedom given to the physician and other healthcare providers to treat patients as individuals.

Larry wants to deliver smart steps that reduce healthcare costs so that the people have the freedom to make their own healthcare decisions. The American healthcare system is the best in the world. Larry wants to make sure the citizens of District 6 continue to have access to excellent healthcare.
