Michigan has a proud tradition of making the best products in the world -- from our manufacturing base to our agricultural producers and farmers. Agriculture is one of the largest industries in Michigan, accounting for one out of four Michigan jobs, and we must continue to strengthen it.
Gary is proud that our state boasts traditional family farms, organic agriculture, and an urban farming movement. It's a tradition that is ever evolving -- becoming more efficient and making better use of technology everyday. Gary believes that Michigan must be a leader in farming innovation.
Gary is committed to working with U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, Chair of the Agriculture Committee, to make sure that federal farm legislation works for Michigan farmers. That process includes passing a comprehensive Farm Bill, which supports family farms and invests in our small towns and rural communities.
In Michigan, we manufacture world class products and our agricultural sector helps feed the world. Gary will continue to fight for Michigan middle class families by making sure our agriculture gets the support it needs to drive our economy.
