Wisconsin culture is ambitious and hard working. Government should enable this culture, not suppress or replace it with a bureaucratic monopoly. Taxes and regulation compliance are some of the largest costs to new and small businesses. In order for people to realize their ambitions and improve themselves and the economy, such costs need to be as low as possible. If we want people to succeed, they need to be able to get the fruits of their labor.

When government "stimulates" economic development it is really taking from one area and giving to another through taxation. While that might help specific depressed areas, it is not good for an economy as a whole. The best way to stimulate an economy is to assure people that if they have ambition and see an opportunity for profit, then no one will confiscate what they earned with unnecessary tax. econmic-develop
