Our education system in the Central Wisconsin area is one of the best in the state. The 2013-2015 budget added more money for all of our schools and expanded School Choice across the state. The legislature is working on School Accountability for all schools, which I support. We cannot turn our backs on education, and need to do what is right for the youth of today so they have opportunities for tomorrow. When I ran in 2012, I spoke at 3 forums, and I indicated that I would be for putting more money into education, and we did. That we need to get our tech schools and universities to work with our businesses, so that we are have a successful workforce in Wisconsin. We have passed many bills to help with worker training, and to allow our high schoolers to take and get credit for college courses. Skilled workers are a necessity for our businesses and for our youth and displaced workers so they have opportunities right here in Central Wisconsin. Our college students and their parents will see for the first time, a tuition freeze at U of W for the next two years. We have work to do, but we are making great progress.
