Cassidy Pledges to Protect Fort Polk

Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) visited Fort Polk, where he met with troops and senior base officials, including Commanding General BG William Hickman, USA. He also toured the base and the Bayne-Jones Army Hospital.

Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:

"Fort Polk has a unique role in our nation's military preparedness. It is also important to Louisiana's economy. Force reductions would harm both. It is in the best interest of our nation, our military and Louisiana to fully use Fort Polk's assets."
