U.S. Rep. Todd Rokita released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court's ruling that protects private sector employees from being forced to pay public union bargaining fees.

"Our freedom of association is clearly stated in the First Amendment of our Constitution. Employees cannot be forced to join a union via statutory schemes dictated by big labor. The decision to join a union is one that should be made freely and thoughtfully, not mandated," said Rokita.
