"Education is the great equalizer." -Bonnie Watson Coleman
As a senior member of the Assembly Education Committee, Bonnie Watson Coleman continually advocates for all children to have an equal and thorough education. A strong public school system is the bedrock of America's success on the global scale, and it is critical in allowing all Americans the opportunity to advance in our society.
Through her tenure as the Assembly Majority Leader, she ensured that New Jersey not only invested in our public schools, but made sure appropriations were thoroughly matched with higher education grants for financial assistance with public colleges, universities, and vocational schools.
In Congress, Bonnie will continue her record to increase access to education for students who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford the opportunity by increasing financial assistance, making college affordable, and easing the student loan burden that mark today's youth.
