Issue Position: Prosecuting Criminals and Internet Predators

Issue Position

If elected Attorney General, I will be the citizen's lawyer, playing a key role in working with federal, state and local law enforcement to fight against crime -- especially Internet predators and other cyber criminals who ruthlessly target Arkansans. People stealing your identity online and using the Internet to pilfer our seniors' savings and destroy livelihoods must be found, investigated and prosecuted. I remember well, from my time as a prosecutor and attorney for the state, the faces of children, seniors and other victims who had long lost innocence at the hands of a predator.
No longer is our only concern the suspicious vehicle by the park. That suspicious vehicle by the park is now in the form of some predator posing on the Internet as a 12-year-old girl from a neighboring town looking for an opportunity to commit unspeakables to your child. I am a firm believer that while we may not rid this world of evil, we can certainly lock those people up and keep them away from our loved ones.
