Government is bigger and costlier than it has ever been. Politicians in both parties refuse to make the common sense choices necessary to reduce the size and cost of government. As our Congressman, Raúl Labrador is committed to reducing the size of government and eliminating wasteful spending. Raúl recognizes that we owe it to future generations to put a stop to the horribly irresponsible practice of spending money our government doesn't have. Raúl worked with leaders in the U.S. House to bring the first vote on a Balanced Budget Amendment since 1995.
Raúl understands that more government spending is not the key to improving the job market; this is why he supported the House GOP Budget, the Republican Study Budget and HR2560 the Cut, Cap and Balance Act of 2011. He was also an ardent supporter of H.R.1111, "The Decrease Spending Now Act."
