Issue Position: Where I Stand

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2014

From talking with thousands of Maryland residents just like you, Brian knows that virtually every resident is concerned about the massive taxes and fees being imposed on each and every one of us. Here are just a few:
Rain Tax,
Sales Tax,
Gas Tax,
Flush Tax,
Corporate Tax,
Vehicle Title Tax,
Estate Tax,
Alcohol Tax,
Tobacco Tax,
Hospital Bed Tax,
Birth Certificate Fee,
Death Certificate Fee (Cradle to Grave)
Brian is completely opposed to any increase in taxes or fees placed upon residents. He is 100% committed to repealing the Rain Tax. Brian believes that the most effective and efficient way to increase revenue to be used for the essential obligations and duties of the Maryland State Government is via a thriving and vibrant economy. When Brian looks around Maryland, he sees an abundance of beauty and resources. He sees people like you who believe in providing for yourself, your family, friends, and neighbors by working to be productive citizens. We are all working together to make Maryland a better place for our children and for the next generation. Brian is highly optimistic that we can put the direction of Maryland back on the right course by removing the burdensome and destructive regulations that have been thrust upon all of us, including the small business community. The Maryland State Health Exchange is proving to be an absolute disaster. It is needlessly leaving thousands of Maryland families without the availability of health insurance. Brian believes we should be strong stewards of God's beautiful gift of this earth. We cannot, however, simply ask for a blank check, then confiscate money or private property from others and claim that "it is for the environment." We must have accountability and results whenever there is use of the tax payers' hard-earned money.
