U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following comments this morning after tornadoes struck several communities in Stanton, Wayne, and Cuming counties:
"The damage from yesterday's tornadoes is simply devastating and the loss of life, serious injuries, and near complete destruction of Pilger is heartbreaking. My staff and I are in close contact with state and local officials and we stand ready to help secure federal assistance as needed. I continue to pray for the families and communities impacted by these storms and I encourage anyone needing assistance to contact my office directly."
