For years, Dick Durbin has been fighting to end our reliance on foreign oil and create new energy jobs here at home.

In his number two position in the Senate leadership, Dick helped pass tax incentives to promote alternative sources of energy -- from wind and solar to new technologies. He's cracked down on Wall Street speculators who artificially manipulated the price of oil and he's been a champion of home grown biofuels that can reduce our use of foreign oil, lessen greenhouse gas emissions, and strengthen the economies of rural communities.

Dick is pursuing every responsible solution and seeking common ground among all sides so that America can be energy independent.
