Issue Position

John will work hard to bring manufacturing jobs and create a business friendly environment here in the sixth district. John wants to work to promote and encourage new businesses in those areas of Dundalk, Essex, and Rosedale that have seen a decline in jobs. Many well traveled roads in our district have become "highways to ghost towns". Where there were once large thriving shopping and retail companies which provided jobs and services to our communities, we now see closed, abandoned, and in many cases dilapidated buildings. John watched in horror at the closing of RG Steel at Sparrows Point which not only affected him, but also devastated many of his friends and co-workers. And what were our sixth district representatives in Annapolis doing at the time to prevent this? NOTHING!!! The GRIEVOUS taxes, fees and regulations which have been the primary policies of the liberals in Annapolis have been the cause of so much economic hardship in the sixth district. John's desire is to make a difference and take those steps necessary to attract and keep both large and small businesses back to the sixth district.
