I believe that voting should be as accessible and as easy as possible for all eligible voters. Now, all registered voters receive ballots in the mail, allowing you to vote at your own convenience. We also have robust in-person options available to help voters through the process, including registering to vote up to and on Election Day. As your Secretary of State, I will continue to protect these voting options, while working with county clerks to ensure that our elections are efficient, affordable, and accessible.
I'll also work to expand voter access where it is lacking, including:
Using technology such as iPads to ease the voting process for voters with disabilities, voters in nursing homes and non-English speaking voters.
Streamlining the process for our active military voters to register and vote, ensuring that those protecting our democracy can fully participate in it.
Partnering with county clerks to increase voting options in our rural areas.
Requiring a voting location on all college campuses in Colorado to better engage young people in our democracy.
