The 2nd Amendment clearly states, "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." I believe the debate over our gun rights should have ended with that statement. We hold our rights as outlined in the first 10 amendments against the government, they are not granted by the government.
My father was a decorated combat veteran, and lifelong hunter who taught me how to handle a firearm at an early age. Hunting trips with my father provided priceless memories, but our second amendment rights have a deeper purpose than sport and the right to defend our homes and property. We have a duty as a free people to protect against tyranny.
