Issue Position

I will NOT raise taxes on Americans.

Issue: I know firsthand what those tax increases feel like. I have seen the way they hurt the growth of small, local businesses and families across the United States. The 2% Social Security tax increase hurt many of us; what lawmakers saw as a small percentage of our wages was actually our monthly groceries, diapers, and daycare payments. Washington veterans are paying for the growth of a bigger and bigger government with our livelihoods. The current tax code only favors politicians and their special interest groups. We must change our tax code to protect Americans.

Solution: A comprehensive Bi-partisan tax reform that promotes and provides certainty for businesses needs to be the main focus. The employment of America is based on American businesses. We must promote our job creators to expand, create jobs, and keep a competitive market in today globalized economy.
